Fillin' Up the Font! UVU YSA 2nd Stake, Orem, Utah, Mission, February 26th, 2018

Hola!

This week has been an adventure! I got a slight scratch on our car so we had to take it into the shop. They told us it would take 2-3 days.. (we took it in Tuesday) and we called again Thursday and they told us that we wouldnt be getting it until Monday.. Long story short, we miraculously got it back Friday.. But Tuesday through Thursday we were without a car... which also happened to be the one week that it snowed a ton! It ended up being productive though because we had a bunch of members take us around since our area is huge! We walked a couple times, and walked to one of our district meetings while it was snowing.. but overall it was great :)

We met a new investigator this week: Carter. Whats cool about him is he knows nothing about God but is really interested in learning more and gaining a testimony. I have a lot of hope for him :)

We are also teaching English/the gospel to Egide, who's from Rwanda. He is one of the most sincere people I've ever met, and has a strong desire to follow Christ. He is pretty awesome!

I also hit my year mark this last week! Time is flying by. On that same day we had interviews with our mission president which went great. Im grateful i have such an amazing mission presdient who inspires and helps me to do and be better!

I think ive mentioned Gift before, the one who just wanted to argue with us. we taught him the word of wisdom this last week and although he had a lot of questions, he agreed to pray and find an answer.. and agree to be baptized on March 23rd! He is so cool and you can see the spirit working in his heart.

This last Saturday we had someone we had been working with get re-baptized. we got there bright and early to fill the font.. and since its freezing outside the heater was having problems so it was taking forever to fill it up with warm water. So us and a couple of Elders took multliple trips from the kitchen to the font to get some warm water in it! We were doing it up until the last second, but it worked out in the end! That same day we got to go do baptisms at the temple with our recent convert, Teo. So cool :)

Sunday I gave 4 talks. One was impromptu lol. This is the first time for me talking in this area, but we asked the bishops if we could speak so we could get our faces out there more! It's working :) My talks were on missionary work of course, and also on prayer and personal revelation! I was the last speaker for 2 of the talks and I had to add ten minutes to each of them lol.  Hopefully I'll be decent at giving talks when I get home!

The gospel is true! I know it! Have a fabulous week!

Lots of snow this week!

I received an email this week from Brother and Sister Mangum:

Dear Brother and Sister Crofts,
We had the privilege of having your beautiful daughter and her companion for dinner. They also spoke in the YSA ward that we serve in today. Sister Crofts gave a wonderful talk on missionary service and a great message on charity at our home. We had the opportunity of attending a baptism a couple of weeks ago where she taught the doctrine of Christ beautifully. She has a great spirit and we loved the time with her and Sister Harper today.

We had four of our children serve full time missions and we always loved to hear about them so I wanted to thank you for sharing your daughter. She is blessing countless lives as she teaches and testifies of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Sincerely,
Bart and Renae Mangum
