This week was very eventful, but great! Monday night I got a call at about 8 pm asking me to do a training at MLC (Mission Leadership Council) the following morning. I was able to get it all together even with short notice and it ended up going well! This month we are focusing on how commitments and covenants bring us closer to God.
Wednesday I got to go on exchanges with Hermana Wiegman, who's from Logan UT and is waiting to get a vaccine so she can go to the mission she was called to, Argentina! We are glad to have her here with us for a short time though. She is so sweet and kind and we had a great time together.
Thursday we had our combined district meeting, and I gave another training on how to get along as companionships. That day a bunch of things were switched up and I ended up going on an exchange with Hermana Rodriguez as well! She is awesome.
Saturday Emily got baptized! She is from Idaho and has wanted to be baptized for a while, and is now going to go to the temple to be baptized for her mom who passed away. So cool!
She is so short and tiny, and the only white jumpsuit size was men's extra large! So we helped her roll up the pants quite a bit :)
Sunday we had an FHE at the Killpacks again! We helped Sister Killpack make yummy Belgium waffles and eggs. We had lots of people come, and my companion and I gave a lesson on the Book of Mormon, and had people share their testimony of it. It definitely brought the spirit and it was awesome to hear all of our investigators and recent converts share with the other people there how they knew it was true!
We are also teaching someone from China named Jerry, and he keeps forgetting which chapter we ask him to read haha. Here's how his prayer went before we left on Saturday:
"Dear Heavenly father
So I didn't read the right chapter this time. But I learned a lot from the wrong chapter. And next time I'll read the right one, the first one."

He's hilarious. We also have several investigators from Nigeria who are trying to teach us Pigeon English.. (A mix of English and something ... Not really sure lol). More updates on that next week!
Highlight of my week:
I don't really remember how much I've said about Gift, he's Teo's friend from Nigeria and when we first started meeting with him he was very against everything we had to say and argued with us on everything. As each lesson went by, I could see the spirit working in him and feel his countenance change. Yesterday, at the Killpacks, We were talking about the Book of Mormon and the Bible, and I asked Gift to share his thoughts on that. He share something like this: "I know the Bible is true. But the Bible can be confusing and doesn't have everything in it. When I started reading the Book of Mormon and comparing it the Bible, they are very similar and both teach of Christ. The Book of Mormon has helped me to understand the Bible more, and to know Jesus Christ more." To see this incredible change in him was just amazing.
The Book of Mormon is true!
I know it, Gift knows it, and I can Promise you that YOU can know it if you pray and read it with a sincere heart.
But what does this mean for you?
I'm not sure, but I can promise that the Book of Mormon has brought me more peace, knowledge, and joy than any other book. Read it! I promise, in the name of Jesus Christ, that your life will be changed for the better.
