Hello again!
On Monday, the Sisters in our zone went to Black Bear Diner, which was yummy. Then we ran a few errands, and went back home! Pdays are supposed to be the day we rest but they always seem to be the busiest haha! The rest of the night we had a few aweosme lessons, and knocked on some doors--gotta love being a misisonary!
Tuesday we went to a cool park to exercise in the morning. So fun! When you're training a missionary there are a lot of studies that need to be done each day to train and prepare them, so we spent a good chunk of today doing that. Then, we were able to go to a cute, senior sister Stake Relief Society. There was a speaker there that talked about the importance of "Joyful Living". We should make an effort to do something that makes us happy every day! Later that day I was able to talk to Sister Wallentine (love her). She is always so good at building me up and helping me out when I'm worried or stressed! We had Thai food with Katie Lin for dinner (love her too) and after that had a lesson with the Ferre's. They are definitely making progress! I love all the people I've met in this area and am so grateful to know then! That night was a little rough for Sister Fonseca, but she got a blessing and did so much better after that. Missions are hard! But totally worth every second.
Wednesday was the Mid Transfer training meeting. If you're training a new missionary, you and your trainee come and talk about how things are going! (they're going so good!) I feel so blessed to be in this companionship my last transfer. I'm learning so much from my companions, they're amazing! Later that night we shared a message with a single mom and her daughter leaving on her mission to China (they're from China) and she fed us some yummy fried rice! I love the people here and how kind they are.
Thursday we had our District Meeting, and it went great! I seem to be giving a training at each one... Even though I don't like giving them, I always learn something from it! Sister Fonseca had a Physical Therapy appt today for her leg (she was hit by a car a few years ago!) and what was cool is the Doctor could tell that she didn't understand English extremely well, so he started talking in Spanish, which she understands way more! What a tender mercy.
Friday Sister Thomas went on an exchange with Sister Wallentine, and Sister Wallentine said companion, Sister Larson, was with Sister Fonseca and I. We started out the day with service for a sweet old man and his sick wife. He told me I looked like Anne Hathaway, which has been happening a lot recently! Haha! After that, we went to Zupas with the Backlunds, who are finishing their mission soon. Later that night we went back to the Backlunds and shared the Restoration with their entire extended family. I love them!
Saturday was the day we just got stuff done! We worked hard and met with a few families and knocked on a bunch of doors. I'm trying to help my companions get to know this area a little more too, so that's been fun.
Sunday was lots of church, of course, and lots of laughing with members and my companions as we visited people in our area. I'm so grateful for wonderful companions and members who care and love us!
The gospel is still true, folks.
So is the Book of Mormon!
We've been sharing brief messages with members lately, and recently we've focused on Prophets... I am so grateful for a living prophet!
Look for the little miracles God blesses you with each day.
Love
Sister Crofts
