Are the Weeks Going By Faster? Pleasant Grove, Orem, Utah Mission, July 9th, 2018

Are the weeks going faster?
Another hot, busy, and great week!

Monday we had our district activity.. We ate lunch, then went and played blaster tag, and then got ice cream! That night was great as well, we had a lesson with our Stake Presidents friend who is considering coming back to church. It's inspiring to see again and again how the spirit works on each of us to help us come closer to Christ.

Tuesday was great. We started out the day being able to go over and help Sister Brown, who I absolutely love. She's a single mom of four who is also working and going to school. She is amazing! She felt really overwhelmed when we came, but us and the elders all worked together to help her get things done. We had another ASL lesson that night for Aiden, who got baptized Saturday! Then we had a lesson with a less active family we are teaching, the Ferre's. They are just the best, I love them so much.

Wednesday was the fourth of July! We got to introduce Sister Fonseca to the Holiday, and we're able to do some studies and visit people during the day. We had our first dinner at the Ferre's, and then went to our neighbors, the Fugal and ate again haha! We were supposed to spend 6-9 pm with our district inside so we spent the night in their basement playing games and we also watched 17 Miracles, which is a touching movie about the saints who traveled cross country because God asked them to. They saw many trials, but also many miracles... Just like I have on my mission!

Thursday we had our district meeting, in which I gave a 30 minute training on Christlike Attributes and how we can develop them. I focused specifically on Diligence and Obedience. I've really noticed on my mission that as I'm exactly obedient to the commandments and mission rules, I see miracles! Same with being diligent, God has definitely blessed me when I give my all to Him. After our district training meeting, we had our correlation lunch with the Backlunds, and their cute puppy Murphy! Later that night I was able to help with Aiden's baptism interview in Sign Language (which I'm still convinced I don't know very well haha).

Friday was SO HOT. okay, every day is hot, but Friday was especially hot. Our neighbor got us slushee's, we did lots of studies, and another person told me I look like Anne Hathaway! Maybe I am her long lost sister. (do you have something to tell me mom?)

Saturday we had interviews with our new Mission President, President Treadway. He and Sister Treadway are awesome, I'm sad I don't get to be with them longer! They kept boosting me up and showing me love. I was able to share my testimony of Jesus Christ with President Treadway, and the spirit testified to me once again of how much He really is there for me. Today was also Aidens baptism! I got to sign for a lot of it when I wasn't playing piano haha. That wasn't thought through very well, but oh well. Later we visited Spring, who's not a member and has a pig living in her house. Like, a literal pig. It's actually pretty cute. Oh and she has some goats and chickens too! (Alexa, GOATS!) She's so sweet and we are eating dinner with her in a few weeks! We also stopped by Emily and Alex (he was just baptized) and that was a blast. I love being a missionary!

Sunday was so busy. We fasted for something as a companionship, so it was good that we were busy because the time before dinner went by faster haha! We taught in 6 classes. Holy Guaccamole! It was great though, teaching really helps me gain a stronger testimony of the things I'm teaching.

The gospel is true! I love and know my Savior, Jesus Christ. If there is anything you've done wrong, or feel guilt for, or a grudge you're holding, or a pain you have.. Whatever it is, Christ is waiting for you to give it to Him. He loves us! He will help you and wants to help you. Turn to Him.

Love,
Sister Crofts
P-Day Fun!
