I just wanted to start off by saying... I am so grateful for this gospel! I am so grateful that we have a living prophet at all times to lead and guide us, and that God loves us so much to give us someone and multiple thing to help us return to him. I love President Monson, but know that it was his time to be released back home, and am grateful he gets to be with his sweet wife again.
I know I truly am involved in the work of the Lord. It's His work, not mine. I'm just an instrument in His hands. I hope that I can continue to do as He would have me do, and to help those that He guides me to.
On Saturday we had a baptism for Jos. (Pronounced Joss). She is incredible. She moved here from California for different reasons, but eventually through friends ended up recognizing that she moved here to become a part of this Church and this Gospel. The best part of Saturday was when we got to the church, she pulled up, got out of her car and screamed with excitement! I've never seen someone so excited or so ready to be baptized. And she is already setting up an interview to be able to go to the temple! Her baptism was so filled with the spirit and I know everyone there could feel it, her especially. What a wonderful day that was.
Another miracle we saw a few days ago.. about 3 weeks back, a guy from one of our wards came up to us and told us about his friend, P. (yes, just the letter.. We aren't sure what her full name is). So we set up a time with her, and when the time came, she didn't show up. Another week went by, we set up another time, and she texted us and told us she didn't want to come because she was getting her hair done. Not wanting to bother her, we let it slide and figured she would contact us if she was interested. Another week went by, and she texted us, out of the blue, and said that she was sorry she kept canceling and that she really did want to meet with us! We met with her Saturday and she agreed to work towards being baptized on February 10th!
Every day of my mission my testimony grows more and more that Christ lives, and he is over this work and helping me in all that I do. As we turn to Him, we will feel peace and joy, I can promise all of you that. :)
(Pictures are of Jos' baptism, us with Jos at her house, and a photo shoot while we waited for our dinner appointment to get home.
Have a wonderful week!
