Those Eyes! Orem, Utah Mission, North Orem, June 19th, 2017

Hello! Happy Monday!

My companion Sister Clanton and I get along so well. It's like we are the same person. (We were on dance team together so we basically are). We have mini dance parties before bed and even bought matching pajamas! She's been sick this week so our mission President and his wife came to drop by some medicine and we both came out wearing out matching pajamas. Sister Killpack started talking to us and President just leaned his head out of the window and yelled, "TWINS!". It was hilarious! I'm glad to have Sister Clanton as a companion and that we work so well together!

This week flew by! One of my favorite miracles from this week happened on Tuesday, we got a call from someone telling us their granddaughter wanted to get baptized! We went over a few days later and set a date for July 13th! Her name is Brooke and she is the sweetest 13 year old girl ever and she's already met with missionaries before and so we are basically just reviewing things with her! What an amazing experience.

We've been teaching a lot of people in this area! We are only over 5 wards, which is definitely different from my last area and is taking some time to get used to. But I'm growing to love it! We are teaching several people who have very interesting and in depth questions, which is great! it makes me study harder so I can actually help them find an answer! But the best thing is that I don't have to know all the answers, because when we pray, God can help us know. And that's what we always tell people. "Don't take our word for it, ask God! He won't lie to you!"  It's so true!  In James 1:5 it says "If any of ye lack wisdom, let him ask of God" which I love, because I'm always lacking wisdom, and God's the one who will help me find it, but only if I ask!

This week walking and biking has been a bit of a challenge. Sister Clanton has been sick on and off and it's also been extremely hot. But we keep on going! With God's help we can do anything! Even in the high 90 degree weather coming up this upcoming week :) On Friday we had a zone activity at our Mission Presidents house which was outside for two hours, (and very fun!) and then helped someone move by ourselves for another couple hours, in the horrid heat, and we may or may not have gotten a bit of heat exhaustion. But we feel great now!

I hope you all had a fantastic Father's Day yesterday, I know I did! It's sometimes hard to be away from home but we were able to visit part of our area, Orchards Care Center, where some older people live, and it totally made our day. There's an older guy named Daniel that lives there, and he is hilarious! We also play bingo with them every Tuesday, and last time I helped him put M&Ms on his bingo card, he thought it was hilarious! Yesterday when we visited he thought we were there for a voice lesson so he started by saying "alright this is going to take about 45 minutes" which made me die laughing, but it actually did! Mostly because every time he looked me in the eyes he would stop and say "WOAH! Those eyes! You can't look at them without being lost! You're going to be a great singer!" I'll have to admit I may have laughed so hard I cried. He's such a flirt! And every time my companion smiled he would say "Wow! Those teeth!" He is such a great guy and made us laugh so much!
I hope you all have a wonderful week! I love yall!
Love,
Sister Crofts

Cake in a mug to celebrate Sister Clanton's one year mark.  (I have no idea what is on Rachel's nose.  Crazy girl!)

Silly Sister missionaries couldn't stop laughing!
