Moving Day! Utah, Orem Mission, Eagle Mountain, May 15th, 2017

Today's been a little crazy, but very fun! We are moving into a new apartment so that the Elders in our district have a place to live, so we did that all morning. Then, at 10:00 we had a zone activity! We played Quidditch! It was hilarious, very fun, and took a lot of energy. I was exhausted by the end of it! You may be asking yourself, "how does one play Quidditch without a flying broom?" I'll tell ya! We each had a broomstick and had to stay on top of it while trying to get balls through hoops on either side of the field. We also had people who threw bludgers at people who had the ball! (If you haven't seen Harry Potter, then you probably don't understand what I am saying, but it was very fun.) Overall I think it was a success. I was on team Slytherin, but we did pretty dang good for being the bad guys!

We also held a free car wash on Saturday as a district (8 missionaries). It was a great service opportunity and we were able to meet and talk to so many people! It was absolutely freezing but such a great time. I love the people of Eagle Mountain!

The weeks have been going by so fast! Yesterday I got to talk with my family which was wonderful, It was so good to see their faces and hear from them! It gave me the boost I needed to get back to work!

A cool miracle we were able to see this week involved our beloved Giles family. As you know, we've been teaching them for some time now, and Ayla and Jordan are getting baptized this Saturday! We are so excited for them, and for their dad as well, who has recently been coming back to church. Unfortunately, they have to move out of their home about a week after the kids get baptized, and right now it looks like they will be heading to Orem. We've been praying and praying that they can find something around here so they can continue to progress, but of course it is Heavenly Father's will, not ours! Anyway, after a lesson with the Giles, we had another appointment to go to, so we drove over there and said another prayer that they would be able to find a house. We walked up to their door and knocked for a while, but they weren't home. Just as we were about to leave, a group of teenagers ran by and handed us a paper. Turns out it was a house for sale nearby! It was crazy, Heavenly Father had shown us that He was listening to our prayers, and He really did care! We don't know for sure whether or not it will work out for them, but it really strengthened my testimony in prayer, and how important it is to pray to our Heavenly Father!

Another thing I've learned this week is how to keep a positive attitude at all times. (Or as often as possible). Sometimes I've noticed that I can get annoyed easily, or frustrated when things don't go the way I want them to. Each transfer (about 6 weeks) Each missionary chooses a different Christlike Attribute to work on. This transfer I am working on Humility. (And boy do I need it!) I've come to realize that the things I get annoyed with or frustrated with are because I haven't humbled myself to appreciate and understand God's will and plan for me. I pray every day that I'll be able to have a positive attitude, and be humble no matter what and it has definitely helped me to keep a positive outlook on things. I would like to encourage all of you to try to look for the positives in your life, and the blessings God gives you every day!

I love you all, and appreciate all of the letters, emails, and support.

Love,
